La Palmilla Boutique Resort & Gardens is the brainchild of a group of friends who shared a common vision for creating something extraordinary. Motivated by the desire to serve others and establish an unparalleled hotel experience, we embarked on a journey to build a boutique resort that would set new standards of excellence in the industry. We think of every detail – all the way down to our use of non-toxic and fragrance-free cleaning products.

Our vision materialized in March of 2022, marking the commencement of the construction process. Fueled by passion and a commitment to quality, we carefully crafted every aspect of La Palmilla to embody the essence of luxury and beauty in Glen Rose. The journey from blueprint to reality was a labor of love, and in June of 2023, La Palmilla opened its doors to the world, inviting guests to indulge in a haven of sophistication and serenity.

The picturesque landscapes, elegant architecture, and charming details make it one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have ever seen.The stunning views outside provide a perfect canvas for wedding photos, capturing the essence of love in every shot ( did i mention that they have a gardener to retouch/replant all florals so it is constantly fresh and breathtaking). From the very first meeting, the team was incredibly attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every detail of our wedding was tailored to our vision. Their professionalism and warmth made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. They were always available to answer questions, offer suggestions, and provide support throughout the planning process. I did not have a wedding planner for our special day, but was never nervous or not confident in how things were going to be due to having such an astonishing staff team!On the big day, the staff executed everything flawlessly. They coordinated the timeline seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the moment without any stress. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the setup of the ceremony to the delicious catering and the smooth flow of the reception. It was evident that they genuinely cared about making our day perfect. They even stayed later than their contracted time to prevent us from dealing with any clean up stress (which should have been our responsibility, they just never stop going above and beyond)In summary, La Palmilla is a hidden gem that combines natural beauty with exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a Spanish Colonial paradise—every detail, from the architecture to the lush landscaping, is simply stunning.The accommodations are beyond perfect—spacious, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the tranquil surroundings and enjoying my morning coffee on the private patio was an experience in itself. The mattresses are so comfortable. The pool and hot tub were the ideal way to unwind, and the Casa del Rey Chapel is truly breathtaking.What really sets La Palmilla apart is the atmosphere. It’s peaceful, luxurious, and completely different from anywhere else in DFW. This place is such a gem in the Glen Rose area. Once you walk into the property it’s like you are transported into a Spanish Villa. Great place to relax and unwind. It is truly a beautiful setting and the rooms are luxurious. The beds and pillows are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Everyone that worked there was so friendly and helpful. Every detail of each room and the grounds are immaculate. Renea the Gardner even gave us seeds from a hibiscus to plant in our garden. Beautiful and quiet to enjoy a getaway or recharge. Everything is lovely from the rooms, to the pool and the cantina where you can hang out & get breakfast. The chapel is a beautiful space that was created with great detail from the Bible in Revelation 4. It includes beautiful stained glass windows and custom pews. We were astonished when we came around the corner to see the exquisite view of La Palmilla upon entering the gates. It is as gorgeous in person as it is advertised! The instant communication made it extremely easy to check in, keep us informed & check out! The rooms are stunning, quiet, and so comfortable!
